Expanding Small Business Lending

Pacific Western Bank recently made a substantial investment to Accion, an organization which creates economic opportunity for low- to moderate-income business owners. This investment supports the expansion of small business lending activities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties especially for those lacking access to traditional credit sources.

Financial Education for Middle School Students

ProKids Golf uses the sport of golf as the basis to teach youth other valuable life skills and leadership. Pacific Western Bank was proud to participate in a recent financial education program for middle-school students at both academy locations in San Diego.

San Diego Habitat for Humanity

Pacific Western Bank was pleased to support the local San Diego Habitat for Humanity with a significant investment which provided capital for future home building efforts. Habitat for Humanity focuses on creating homes for ownership by low-income families in need.

Teaching Financial Education to Central Valley High School Students

Pacific Western Bank partnered with EverFi, Inc. to teach personal financial management basics to high school students in Fresno, Kern, Tulare, and Kings counties. In doing so, Pacific Western Bank became the sole financial institution to support these educational efforts in the Central Valley region.

Pacific Western Bank and Rural LISC Help Alleviate Drought Conditions in the Central Valley

The two organizations recently announced a $1 million loan to Self-Help Enterprises, Inc., as part of an effort to alleviate drought conditions in the San Joaquin Valley. The funds will be used to provide low-income residents with drought relief supplies including water tanks and delivery systems.
